Here is what some of our users thought of TXT2Remind:
"Cost of postage, printing and phone calls reduced since implementing TXT2Remind. Usually spend 500 per two months just on postage now only 25% of that now and when you add up nurse’s time and printing costs it is an amazing saving.” Alison Drennan, Dr deLacey’s Surgery.
“All patients that we contact with this method are delighted. It is very easy to use and records all messages in patient notes whilst letting you know whether the patient has received the message or not which is very important to us. We certainly recommend this programme.” Audrey Cassidy, Greenwoods Medical Centre
“Fantastic service. Efficient, time saving and easy to use. I don’t know how we coped without it! ” Dr Tony Svensen, Avondale Health Centre.
“I recently developed a new immunisation recall process that involved running a status query through MedTech and sending out immunisation and cervical smear recalls via a text message. I ran the new process at O’Taihape Health on a Thursday afternoon. The following morning 6 immunisations and 2 cervical smear were done as a direct result of the text messages received. The patients told the nurse that they came in because of the text they had received the following day. This sort of result is exactly what we need to assist make a difference in our patients health.” Erin Cvitanovich, Immunisation Project Facilitator, Whangauni Regional PHO.
“The TXT2Remind tool, combined with lower fees to visit GPs, means Māori and Pasifika patients are seeing doctors and nurses far more than previously. The fee subsidy means they have fewer debts with their doctor so they’re happy to come for consultations, and texting them appears to be a really effective way for us to stay in touch. Previously, a general practice might spend $500 on stamps for reminder letters to its patients. You could have taken that $500 and thrown it into the air, for all the good the letters did. Texting does the same job, at little cost and with a much better response,” Ms Barbara Stevens, CEO, Auckland PHO.
“INR’s revolutionized this as no longer have to ring patients or receive phone calls – even elderly have phones now to keep in touch with grandchildren! Reminding for appointments especially our nurse clinics that can be booked up weeks in advance; has drastically reduced no shows by 50%; people are rescheduling and freeing up spaces for other people.” Dr Simon Bednarek, The Doctors Napier
“Can’t imagine not having this technology. TXT is the modern means of communication for an increasing number of people. Particularly the youth. Many of our patients do not even have access to landlines” Maureen Collins, PHO Manager ORA TOA PHO.
"It is working well, and we are pleased with the outcomes. Patients are delighted to receive TXTs and are responding to them. I would definitely recommend it.” Sue McBrearty, Business Manager, Merivale Medical Practice.
